Summer heat is here, and so is the season of melted and sticky slime! If you’re a slime lover, you know the struggle of dealing with a "goopy" mess when the temperatures rise. Don't worry! Our Summer Slime Care Guide has got you covered with simple tips to keep your slime firm and clicky.

Cool Down Your Slime

The Refrigerator Rescue:

  • If your slime feels too soft or sticky due to the heat, pop it into the refrigerator (not the freezer!) for about 10–15 minutes. This helps the molecules firm up and restores that perfect texture.

The Activator Quick-Fix:

  • Hot weather can cause slime to deactivate. Keep a small bottle of activator (borax water) handy. Add just a few drops at a time and knead thoroughly until the stickiness disappears.

Handle with Care

Cool Hands Only:

  • Before playing, run your hands under cold water and dry them thoroughly. Warm hands will melt the slime faster, making it stick to your skin like glue!

Avoid Direct Sunlight:

  • Never leave your slime in a hot car or on a sunny windowsill. UV rays and high heat can permanently break down the chemical bonds, turning your favorite slime into liquid.

The "Quick Touch" Technique:

  • On humid days, play with your slime using quick, light pokes rather than letting it rest in your palm. This prevents your body heat from melting the slime while you play.

With our Summer Slime Care Guide, you can keep your slime in tip-top shape even during a heatwave. Remember to keep it cool, store it in a dark place, and always have your activator ready!

Pro-Tip for Summer:

Store your slime containers in the coolest room of your house (like a basement or a room with AC), or a mini cooler for slime, to prevent them from melting while you're not using them!
